Milton Series is tough to beatI think the ntire Milton series is The Unseen Wonder eual to or better than anythinglse in this genre Milton is a smart The Management Bible educated physical beast who carries the oppressive blanket of addiction with him as he tries to make amends for his prior acts The research behind the stories and the details of the weaponry and geography involved are amazing 7 9 were wonderful but so were 1 6 I suspect 10 and up will continue the trend A British and believable Jack Reacher Anothernthralling box set by MrDawson Our John certainly has a few demons and his life revolves around trying to find peace within his soul An average sort of guy with some particular skills righting wrongs a bit of a Jack Reacher and an Eualizer rolled onto one But he s British and he bleeds and gets some things wrong just like real people do Well done Mr Dawson onto the next book Love these books Have read the series twice now Always moving alongLove the books Love they re in a boxed sets it s Zu schnell easier to keep reading Read the series twice It flows really well He is independent yet relies on others when needed Not a self observed hero There is a lot about AA in there but he doesn t stuff it down your throat just shows the struggles of not drinking any Good storyline Characters have somewhat realistic capabilitiesI have developed a real admiration for John s uests To help those who have no one to turn to for help The I read these stories the and fond I become of the main character I would like to see him find a measure of happiness with a woman as I thought he might with Mattie in Australiaeven if for just a short while Love these books hard to put down Read books 1 9 straight throughI thought these books were well written andngaging A lot of books I get through the first 5 pages and throw them out Dawson is an Sleepless (Bird of Stone, excellent story teller and Milton is a great protagonist I liked his character trying to repent for hisarlier life nothing fancy just the ability to react without hesitation along with a sense of morality setting him apart Dawson has a great sense of humanism in his storytelling A Mark Dawson s novels are a must readMy wife and. I are avid readers We try to find authors who are not well known to many and if we find them we want veryone to know Mark Dawson is one of these rare finds His series about John Milton have been so well written Great boxed setWhile I would gladly have bought these books individually it was nice that they were in a set like this I have provided comments on ach of the books separately I will say is nice to see how John Milton the main character in the series has developed over the course of time He seems to be becoming focused on doing right in order to put to rest the demons that haunt him from all his years of service to his government Nice to see someone who has retired yet still gets to use the skills he worked so hard to acuire The John Milton series continues to be full of thrills and spills in these the 3rd boxed set In it John heads off to Australia and then returns to England but things aren t safe and cozy for him there itherAlthough in many ways traditional thrillers and likely to appeal to fans of that genre one of the better things about this series is that John travels around and spends a lot of time interacting with people on the dges of society In this collection John works as a sheep shearer in Australia at a cabbie s shelter in London and plunges into the world of desperate refugees from Africa Each location and situation is uniue and described with plenty of living detail plunging the reader into these often down and out worlds And of course there s plenty of guns and actionOn the other hand these particular books all had the same plot device that I find very irritating in which a lot of the action is generated by the actions of a female character whom John is trying to protect but who does ill advised things that plunge them both back into ven worse danger Occasionally that can be forgiven although it is a lazy plot device but reading it three times in a row irritated me a bit It was specially disappointing because the previous books had some really good female characters Anyway that was a bit of a bummer for me but overall these are very good thrillers that are sure to be Evolution, Me Other Freaks of Nature enjoyed by thr. E with Avi Bachman The most dangerous man he'sver known has been incarcerated in Angola the brutal Louisiana prison Inmates rarely leave Angola Once you go in the only way out is in a box But Bachman is no ordinary prisoner He was an assassin for the Mossad and he has favours to call inMilton is in the Australian outback with an old friend and his flirtatious kid sister looking for a summer’s peace to put his troubled mind to rest But Bachman has other plans He thinks that Milton killed his wife and now he wants revenge From Australia to Israel from Hong Kong to Croatia here is the conclusion of this brutal chapter in Milton’s life The two headhunters are on a collision course and only one of them will walk away THE NINTH STEPMilton is keeping a low profile in London when he meets Eddie Fabian Fabian confesses that he is considering suicide and that the reason for his depression was the abuse that he suffered as a child Milton offers to help but before he can Eddie is found dead in circumstances that Milton considers suspiciousAnd then vents ta.
