That my stepfather who recently passed away had wned Mike was an ld fashioned kind Rim of the Pit (Rogan Kincaid, of fella who enjoyed a good Western I myself enjoy modern Western TV series such as Helln Wheels but I had never read They Also Serve one So even though I wasn t sure if he had read it I figured he probably at least touched it And I thought it would be nice to get my Western fix while connecting with him even ifnly by touching the same book This aspect Conversations From The Neighborhood Ice Cream Shop: 8 Keys To Rediscovering Lost Dreams And Finding Your Life's Calling of my reading experience was as fulfilling as I hoped it would be However concerning the contentf the book Preacher s Fire is what No Time for Sergeants one might refer to as a potboiler It has an abundancef action scenes but hardly anything happens in the inner lives f the characters They re all stone cut uts f people who rarely have an unexpected reaction to the situations that confront them Even so the freuency with which the action scenes ccurred coming both through impending violence and impish prostitutes incited me to read rapidly through the last page All in all Preacher s fire just wasn t crafted to my taste in literature But I was able to enjoy it So thanks Mike. On his tailAnd A Fire That's Just Begun To EruptThe dds couldn't be worse and the battleground couldn't be better For the wild frontier is no place for fancy plots r poor disguises but a fine spot for a killing ground.
